Serotonin is hiring a Public Relations Associate (Asset Management). The company is the leading go-to-market firm for transformative technologies, specializing in marketing, strategy, recruiting, and legal services for consumer tech, digital assets, venture capital, blockchain technology, and AI.
About the Role
This fast-paced, writing-heavy role supports Serotonin’s asset management vertical, working with respected firms and portfolio companies in institutional crypto. The position focuses on media strategy, thought leadership, and storytelling around the future of finance, collaborating closely with a Public Relations Director and teams in content, social, and community. Ideal candidates have backgrounds in fintech, asset management, crypto, or financial communications and seek deeper exposure to leaders shaping next-generation financial infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- Support development and execution of PR strategies for asset managers, VC firms, and portfolio companies
- Research and build tailored media lists across crypto, finance, tech, and mainstream business outlets
- Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, and briefing materials
- Identify and secure thought leadership opportunities like podcasts, speaking engagements, and contributed content
- Coordinate interviews, manage media requests, build reporter relationships, and monitor PR results
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- 1–3 years of experience in public relations at an agency or in-house
- Background in fintech, financial services, crypto, venture capital, or consumer finance
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills; highly responsive, detail-oriented, and collaborative
Nice-to-Haves:
- Understanding of financial trends, media landscape, DeFi, tokenized assets, or blockchain infrastructure
- Proven ability to execute successful PR campaigns; comfort with independent work across time zones and travel
