Anchorage Digital is hiring a Member of Technical Staff, Wealth (Technical Lead). The company builds the world’s most advanced digital asset platform for institutions, offering custody, staking, trading, governance, settlement, and leading security infrastructure through its federally chartered crypto bank and global offerings.

As a Technical Lead on the Wealth & Assets Management team, you will drive system architecture and technical direction, working with engineering, product managers, and teams to plan, build, release, and maintain high-quality software. Your focus will be developing APIs and automation for client services in areas like financial advisors, asset custody, and trading systems, directly influencing custody, protocols, core infrastructure, and transparency on Anchorage Digital’s institutional platform. The role emphasizes leading in a fast-evolving crypto industry while ensuring safe, regulated, and secure technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in task breakdown, estimation, design, implementation, and maintenance of Wealth systems.
  • Write, review, test, and document code per Anchorage Digital’s engineering standards.
  • Dive into complex problems, drive down technical complexity, and refactor systems safely.
  • Lead large, strategic projects, define technical strategy, balance progress with perfection, and foster efficient testing to minimize tech debt.
  • Mentor team members, collaborate cross-functionally, share knowledge, and influence architecture and product roadmap.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • 8+ years of professional experience building backend services and complex distributed systems (primarily Go, but skills matter more than specific languages).
  • Experience leading large-scale, complicated projects at an architectural level.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in concurrency, algorithms, and data structures; passion for resilient services, code quality, test infrastructure, and user/business value.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • GraphQL or gRPC API design and implementation experience.
  • Background in the finance industry, specifically Wealth management.
