Blockchain Futurist Conference is hiring an Account Executive, Event Sponsorship Sales. They host the largest and most high-profile blockchain and cryptocurrency event in Canada, now expanding into the U.S., fostering hands-on engagement for startups, investors, developers, enterprise leaders, and tech pioneers.
The role focuses on driving sponsorship sales in the fast-paced Web3, crypto, and blockchain events sector. The Account Executive will create and manage a sales pipeline, prospect leads in crypto, DeFi, AI, Web3, FinTech, and blockchain, while negotiating deals and ensuring client satisfaction. Reporting to the Head of Sales, this is a 1-year contract with potential for extension or permanent placement, emphasizing autonomy in a remote/hybrid setup with EST overlap and event travel.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and qualify sponsorship leads within crypto, DeFi, AI, Web3, FinTech, and blockchain sectors, delivering tailored proposals and closing deals to meet sales targets.
- Manage accounts as the primary client contact, building long-term relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and identifying up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Use Salesforce CRM to track pipeline, maintain customer details, generate forecasts, and report on account status, revenue, and market trends.
- Collaborate with production, marketing, and operations teams to execute event strategies, attend events for client engagement, and refine offerings with the Head of Sales.
- Analyze client needs, industry trends, and new products to translate goals into actionable event strategies.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- CRM management experience, especially Salesforce, to build and maintain sales pipelines.
- Proven business development or partnership experience in crypto, Web3, tech, or events; not for newcomers to the space.
- Strong network in blockchain and crypto ecosystems, plus deep knowledge of Web3, crypto, DeFi, AI, and emerging tech trends.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience or strong interest in events.
- Process-oriented mindset with obsession for pipeline building and deal closing.
