About the Role
The Director – Blockchain Architecture role at Fidelity’s AMTech focuses on designing highly available, scalable, and resilient solutions for blockchain applications in the digital assets ecosystem. This position drives innovation in DeFi apps, tokenization, cross-chain solutions, and zero-knowledge technologies while establishing governance for smart contracts and interoperability. The associate bridges strategic planning with hands-on execution to accelerate compliant blockchain use cases in investment operations, risk management, and distribution.
What You’ll Do
- Define blockchain architecture vision covering on-chain and off-chain components, data, security, and integration.
- Drive a multi-year roadmap for tokenization, DeFi, cross-chain solutions, data platforms, and zero-knowledge adoption.
- Establish governance for smart contracts, data indexing, and interoperability standards across asset management systems.
- Bridge strategic planning with hands-on execution for critical platform components and accelerators.
- Deliver secure, scalable multi-chain platforms with audited smart contracts and optimize for gas fees, latency, and cost.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- BE/MCA with 15+ years in software/architecture and 5+ years in blockchain (EVM + at least one non-EVM).
- Deep understanding of EVM internals, Solidity advanced patterns, cross-chain interoperability (LayerZero, Wormhole, CCIP), and blockchain data engineering.
- Hands-on experience with blockchain and full stack development, multi-language proficiency (Solidity, Rust, Go, Java, Python, Node.js), security practices, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure), and Agile methodologies.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Real-world asset tokenization, wallet/MPC/custody integration, and financial domain expertise (trading, settlement, NAV).
- Advanced data governance, privacy-enhancing techniques, and experience with accelerator/incubator environments.
