Wedbush Securities is hiring an Equity Research Associate – Cryptocurrency & Blockchain. This role joins Wedbush’s elite sell-side equity research team, focusing on the dynamic cryptocurrency and blockchain sector. Associates will work alongside award-winning analysts to build institutional-grade expertise in digital assets, decentralized finance, and blockchain infrastructure, with a clear path to senior analyst. The position suits those with rigorous analytical thinking, exceptional financial modeling skills, and eagerness to impact digital asset markets at the forefront of traditional finance and blockchain innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, update, and maintain sophisticated financial models and valuation frameworks for coverage universe
- Prepare research reports, earnings notes, and thematic pieces influencing institutional investors
- Conduct due diligence via management meetings, channel checks, on-chain analysis, and competitive intelligence
- Analyze business models across exchanges, blockchain infrastructure, mining, and digital asset platforms
- Evaluate protocol economics, network metrics, regulatory developments, and market trends; engage with executives and monitor macroeconomic factors
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university, preferably in computer science, engineering, economics, finance, or quantitative fields
- 1-3 years relevant experience in financial services, ideally with technology or digital asset exposure
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency markets, and digital asset ecosystems
- Advanced Excel skills, superb quantitative capabilities, and exceptional written/verbal communication to translate complex concepts
Nice-to-Haves:
- Active Series 86/87 Licenses
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments as a self-starter with strong work ethic
